hi everyone, me again with another journal.

ive recently received my 120cm optiwhite.... 120 x 45 x 45

ive been wanting to do a proper wood hardscape for some time. i did a smaller version in my 60cm optiwhite, which i quite liked. checking the water so to speak.

anyway, ive been toying with 1 or 2 versions of the potential scape....

the use of sand will play a srong part in thsi scape. after much deliberation ive decided on the second of the two images.

these are the 3 elements to the forground. fine sand, small grade pebbles, and a larger variety. also theres seryiou stone.

moss, lots of it.

Mark that looks great! It's going to be exciting watching it develop as the plants grow in.

How old is your little boy? And was he around the whole time you were planting? Because my little girl is 19months old and there's no way she'd let me spend the amount of time I reckon you spent, poking about in my tank. More than 4 mins or so and she's hanging onto my legs, whinging for my undivided attention.

You must have spent a small fortune on all those plants!!

hi helena, i decided to plant through the night due to the explanation you just gave. dan is 3 and as nice as it is for him to help, its a pain when your trying to get everything ready. i started at 7.00pm and didn't finish until 3.30 am.

The plants i got on a deal, you see im scaping a tank for a maiden head aquatic store near me, so i got a good discount, allthough 80 odd pots at discounted prices was still expensive

gav, thanks for the comment :good:
