Safe?

i got two plastic/resin statues here, none had any form of information on the compounds that go into making it. apart from the standard water tests, is there any way of knowing if they are safe to put in a tank?

if not are their any coatings that may be applied to make them safe.

haha thank god it wasnt just me! I was about to take mine apart as i though it was inside the outer cover!
I'd just try the vinigar test - where did you buy them from?

one is from Willkinsons, and is designed as a garden orniment. the second is similar but bought from a £1 shop, not sure where it was suppesed to go.
