I'm considering getting about 4 ghost shrimp to help muh new betta out with algea and whatnot. Is that a good idea or should I get like a couple of corys or something?

i have a ghost shrimp in with aladdin and they follow each other around the tank - it's cute. other people have said their betta eats their ghost shrimp. it all depends on the fish.

same with the cories. you don't want to put a group of them in their when your betta will just beat them all up.
it just depends on the fish :good:

My betta is the sweetest, most easy going little guy but as soon as I got him a ghost shrimp for his tank he got very territorial and ate it the next day! I guess it just depends on the betta, mine prefers to live alone! :/

I've kept ghost shrimp in with 3 different bettas and never had a problem with any of them. My bettas would go through spells where they'd chase them around the tank, but other times they would completely ignore them. I've never had a betta eat a ghost shrimp, though I have heard of it happening.

It all depends on the fish :D
(just felt like I should say it since everyone else did)
