I'm considering getting about 4 ghost shrimp to help muh new betta out with algea and whatnot. Is that a good idea or should I get like a couple of corys or something?
i have a ghost shrimp in with aladdin and they follow each other around the tank - it's cute. other people have said their betta eats their ghost shrimp. it all depends on the fish.
same with the cories. you don't want to put a group of them in their when your betta will just beat them all up.
it just depends on the fish
My betta is the sweetest, most easy going little guy but as soon as I got him a ghost shrimp for his tank he got very territorial and ate it the next day! I guess it just depends on the betta, mine prefers to live alone!
I've kept ghost shrimp in with 3 different bettas and never had a problem with any of them. My bettas would go through spells where they'd chase them around the tank, but other times they would completely ignore them. I've never had a betta eat a ghost shrimp, though I have heard of it happening.
It all depends on the fish
(just felt like I should say it since everyone else did)
