I am starting up my planted community fish tank.  its a 210 gallon 6' long.  i want to put 5 or 6 discus, a number of angelfish, some rams, cockatoos, various tetras and minnows, either loaches or corys, some rainbows and a couple of plecos of some sort.  I know the fish are co habitual in the tank.

I just want to know stocking numbers to keep everyone happy.   Also,  can I buy say 5 or 6 different color variations of the discus and they still school together?  same with the angel fish,  or is it have to have a group of one type?

what about other tank mates such as snails, shrimp etc.

The angelfish will kill any other angelfish that are not its mate. Its best to buy a breeding pair of angels or a group of 6 young ones and then resell the other 4. I wouldn't get any fish that would nip fins like most barbs. The angelfish might eat baby shrimps or other very small fish. I'd get some bottom dwellers with these, cories/loaches/goby's/gudgeons/ext.
