Hey... We'll ive been keeping my eyes open for a plec that would suit my 50gal tank. Its current occupants are 3 skunk loaches and 1 RTB. It has a sand substrate and plenty of bog wood. A local Ifs has just got some Rhino plecos in and i've had a hard time finding info on them...planet catfish only has a pic but im positive that its the same fish.

I just want some basic info like max size, tempermant, perfered diet etc...and if it would fit in with my current inhabitants.

Thanks for any help

 yeah sorry tried to find some more info for you, but couldn't (other than what I've found already) -_-

sok bloo...the effort is good enough! I just want some info before i buy one today...I don't want to end up with a huge poop machine like a common.

Un fortunatly there is very little info out there about them - we looked and looked when we thought outs might be one (see sig - its not)

does it have big 'nostrals'?

B) Ahhh smith you were my last hope :) ...Yes very big nostrals infact, considering its only about 1-1.5" in size...What the heck i'll get him...If no one really has that much info on him then i think hes worth the mistery...And im not that worried about tank size or compatability, plus if it really doesn't work out ill manage.

Thanks guys

p.s - He's priced at $7.99 (CAN), and i dont think they really know what they have as hes in with common plecs of the same size.

Allow 10-12" as a guide - if he passes that - start worrying :)

It'll be good to see a piccy of one first hand :)

Excellent ! So (in time) you can write a profile for us then :p

Got him..... B)

Yea the horns were the selling point for me :sly: ...I'm just acclimating him and ill get some shots of him on the sand. I love that his dorsal fin resembles a sailfin plec...I think hes going to get big

I have a sneaky suspicion you're looking at around 10" there :shifty:
