Afternoon all and I must say it's great to be back. I wasn't the most active member last time round but there seems to still be a few old names around.

Since I was last here I had to sadley sell my last set up due to a house move but we have settled in nicely and as luck would have it a friend of a friend was selling a smallish tank for a Bargin price so I couldn't really refuse.

Now I haven't got the exact dimensions but from looking if say it was around 2 foot wide by 12" deep but for £25 I'm not complaining.

My question is what to do with it all suggestions welcome as I haven't got any as of yet

Is your water hard or soft, Craig?

Welcome back! I suggest maybe a peaceful community? such as guppies/platies/mollies ect.

it just really depends on your preference. anything small, or expected to stay small will do just fine in this tank!

Not a massive fan of guppies mollies etc I did think of scaping it and just having some tetras in keep it simple remove the lid get a hanging light etc

I think that tank with a nice planted aquascape and a shoal of something would look cool!

Also, Im all up for you hanging the light, tanks like that appeal to me!

Welcome back!

Well it was my day off today so I went to pick the tank up and I'm really pleased with it! It takes me back to my first take 8 years ago.

It is slightly larger than i originally thought dimensions are 80x30x39cm roughly 90L/20G.

I had some spare mdf at work so called in and cut some to size and this is the result

There is a shelf to go inside and I will make a door to finish it off. I'm hopefully picking up an ehiem external filter tomorrow and then hopefully with a little rearrangement of the living room this should be in place by the weekend. :)
