Rescued Betta *pics*

:byebye: Ah well atleast I tryed.. He died 1 hour ago.. Didnt last long with me, maybe I should have just left him in the pet shop.. R.I.P little man..Xxx

That's a really nice thing that you did for that pore betta. It's really sad that pet stores treat bettas like that. I wish it were illegal.

Aww don't blame yourself; you did the right thing.
I'm sure he wouldn't have lived as long as he did with you, when he was at the petstore.
Be proud of yourself; you did rescue him & you did take care of him; you probably made his life longer than it would've been! :D
May he RIP<3

At least you made his last hours happy ones so don't beat up on yourself you did a good job, i bet alot of people wouldn't of taken him on, they would have just walked on. You have a big heart and should be proud you helped him at all

Thanks everyone for helping with him.. Atleast he is away to a betta place now :-( .. I will maybe go today and rescue some other poor betta.. Thanks again Xx

That poor little thing. Fish shops like that make me so angry and upset. Mind you, I've never seen a damaged Betta here in Australia, but I'm sure it happens. Fancy them charging you any money at all for that Betta. You did a wonderful thing. Good on you for giving him the best last day possible under the circumstances.

Thanks Branjie and I love my fishies.. In the uk they dont sell bettas in cups (not that im aware of) they just throw them into any tank with any other fish.. Thats how that little guy was in that state..He was in with loads of tetras..
Yeah you would have thought that they would have just gave me him for free because of the state he was in.. They are ignorant, ignorant people..I wont be back in Pets at home after that..
Going to go to a different pet shop today and see if there is any other bettas I can rescue.. :flowers:
Pics will follow later if I get one..x

They prob wouldnt give me my money back anyway.. Here is the reciept..
I just noticed last night that the boxes on it she had ticked every one !!

I have to laugh at the bit at the bottom " We pride ourselves in supplying healthy pets and never sell one that is sick , injured or suffering from any visual deformities"

I usually take them back and kick up a fuss and then they refund your money. I have stopped rescuing bettas as they still charge you full price and almost all have died on me. I dread to think what they do with ones we dont see!

Well just back from Pets at home with my friend. She was in getting fish food and I couldnt help myself from having a look at the fish.. What can I say "The staff dont have a clue" I am so angry as I type this  .. Came across this little fella in some state , knew I couldnt leave him  .. Told them I would like a discount for him , was told "no dont give discounts on any of the fish or animals" So I had a rant and a rave at them..Not that it does any good..Ended up buying him £3.99.. Have him in a 3 gallon the now, added stress coat and Melafix. He is managing up and down for air.. Is there anything else I could or should do.. Thankyou xx

He has no tail or fins.. He only has 1 of his little side fins...
