okay i need to replace my filter foam. the old foam will be full of bacteria.... how do i go about getting the new one ready? do i just bite the bullet and stick it in?

Also the stones in my tank are getting covered in algae. is there any way to slow this down?

TIA :)

i dont ever do anything to mine... i always replace stuff... nothing goes wrong but dont listen to me cause to others i may be a fish killer!
