Hello everyone,

I am intrigued by the idea of repashy gel food and would like to get some. When I looked however, I was overwhelmed with the amount of types there are. I want a couple different types to try specfically for panda garra and a couple different loaches. But also something some of the other mid-water fish could eat on as well. Ive seen someone mention mixing community blend combined with soilent greens for panda garra but I am open to suggestion. Im wondering what each type is good for. Thanks!

I've heard of Repashy gel food - it was an option to use in mixtures for my snails, specifically the soilent green version. It has some great reviews but I haven't used it myself, I've just seen it recommended in a few different places.

I did see one interesting feeding technique where someone applied it over lavarock so the gel would catch and stick for easy bottom feeding in a tank with higher flow.

I love it! I mix up a batch and refrigerate it. You can add other things to it also. I add Garlic Guard to boost immune system. All Repashy products are very good, high quality. I feed it to both my goldfish and tropical fish. I use the same one for all of them. Very healthy!

Repashy is a powder of 'food' and gelatin that you mix with water and make like jello. I never really saw the point so I haven't bought any. It's kind of a gimik and personally I think we're better off with high quality flakes or pellets.

I've seen the term but know nothing about it. I would myself not rush out to buy it, as I am getting very good nutrition into my fish with what I feed them now, and I see no reason to change. But if someone knowledgeable (= professional) gave me the scientific evidence that this would improve my fish's health, I might consider it. This hobby is full of nonsense about all the additives/chemicals/treatments one supposedly must use regularly to prevent "x" but most of it is nothing but a scam for money.
