As per the title, Rena have announced that they are stopping making aquariums.

I think Rena make amongst the best freshwater aquariums on the market, and I for one am sad to hear this news.

They were unrivalled in the aquarium market for quality IMO and also unrivalled with their 5 year guarantee on their Aqualife range.

I can't believe it, I've always wanted the 600 litre Aqualife, and it now looks like I'll never get one.

The Full Story

BTT

Thats a real shame, Rena make beautiful tanks, I always wanted a 600, but couldnt afford it :(

Wonder if anyone will fill the gap in the market.

There is certainly a gap in the market for large freshwater tanks. Nobody else does them as big as Rena. Maybe Juwel or Fluval will step in. We'll just have to wait and see.

ndaquatics.com awesome tanks

shame rena are stopping as they were deffinately 1 of the better "mass produced" tanks on the market.

im just hoping fluval will put T5's in a new range of tanks if they do one
The Fluval Osaka comes with overhead T5 lighting. We've got one as a marine set up at work.
As for Rena making no more tanks, I am also sad to hear this. I have two 5ft and a 3ft bowfront Rena and they are great tanks.

All those tanks that are manufactured by these companys like fluval and rena are way over priced anyway, just go to a private tank builder to get a tank made, you get exactly what you want and for half the price.
The sad part of this will be that the workforce will have no work, sad more people unemployed :(
