Reedfish/Ropefish

Has anyone else got one, as i currently have two in a ft long tank, yes they grow to 30cm so im going to add them to a larger tank, but am just curious as to what other species of fish you house them with?

They eat small fish and are fantastic escape artists so insure tank is 100% covered. No holes.
 
yes,i've had one.they eat anything that will fit in their mouth,so make sure tank mates are at least 1.5" to 2" and you'll be fine.mine used to eat bloodworms.
 
As stated above, they are great escape artists. But i find they are much more motivated and inclined to jump or try to escape when they are confined in too small a tank.
 
My tank is fully covered, had them for a year and still they have not escaped thank god :D but im adding them into a 3ft tank and am not sure whats best to keep with them as the fish i want to keep i fear will either want to eat my reedfish or the reedfish eat them! Whats best recommended? Was thinking maybe firemouths!
