Ok i am re arranging my 60 gallon tank and taking some fish out and putting them in my 10 gallon with my female betta, i have to move fish because i am getting a black ghost knife, so i am moving my two ADF, my red fire, powder blue, and dwarf gouramies over to the ten, I HAVENT DONE IT YET, I ALMOST DID, BUT THEN... i remembered that gouramies and betta sometimes are not ok together, but i didnt know how a female and the 3 most peaceful gouramies would be in the tank together. There are lots of hiding spots and real plants, i just didnt knwo what woudl be ok. So this is my tank set up i want to do:

60g - Fully Planted with Real Mopani Driftwood
1 Clown Pleco (Stripes)
1 Rubbernose Pleco (Pucker)
3 Ghost Shrimp (3 Stooges)
1 Blue Gourami F (Spot)
1 Gold Gourami F (Bananas)
1 Albino Paradise Gourami M (Casper)
1 Paradise Blue Gourami F (Sparkle)
1 Pearl Gourami F (Loch)
1 Opaline Gourami F (Surf)
1 Angel M (Spaz)
1 Silver-Tip Catfish F (Bruce)
1 Synodontis Eupterus (Spike)
4 Clown Loaches (Bobo, Gizmo, Bozo, and Gonzo)

10g
1 Female Betta (Ariel)
6 Various Micky Mouse Platy (Mickey Mouse Gang)
4 Palateus Cory (Shark Bait Family)
1 Powder Blue Gourami M (Dori)
1 Red Fire Dwarf Gourami M (Nemo)
1 Dwarf Gourami M (Flow)
2 African Dwarf Frogs (Duck & Hopper)

WOULD THIS BE OK? please help me out if you know!!!

3 male gouramis in a 10g tank is not a good idea. They will most probably fight together. That number of fish in a 10g may be pushing it. It is planted though, so you may be able to push it a bit. You might want to wait for more responses though, I am not an expert by any stretch of the imagination.

I think your 10 gallon will be seriously overstocked, I'm counting at least 24 inches of fish and 2 frogs. It *might* work, then again, with that many fish in the tank, there's not going to be as many places to hide and it's not going to be easy to get away. Personally, I would be very guarded putting any betta in with gouramis, especially in an overcrowded tank.

I definitely agree with Karah's Mommy, that is definitely pushing the stocking limit. And by my experience with my girls, I can't imagine having them with anything else. They fight with each other bad enough in a tank that has tons of plants, so I can't imagine putting them in with unfamiliar species of fish.

yep, the 10g would be well overstocked

maybe if you take the platies out of the equasion.

how about the female betta, the cories, the frogs and another couple of female bettas?

I would think that the betta would be aggressive to the platies. And 3 gouramis in a 10 gallon is too much. No more then one (since males can be aggressive towards each other and a 10 gallon doesn't provide enough space for 2 male gouramis). Also, bettas and gouramis generally don't mix. Doesn't sound like it would work out to me.

how about the female betta, the cories, the frogs and another couple of female bettas?
Listen to Bandit, that would work well.

Oh, and I know this is off topic but I wanted to point it out. Paradise fish are not gouramis ;) They are just simply called Paradise Fish.

ok i am going to leave the gouramis in the 60 gallon for now, i mean the bgk wont touch them so its ok. I am probably going to get rid of the paradise fish and the dwarf gourami, i wanna make room for everything else....

You seem to have an affinity for overstocking aquariums ANIM4L. Both of your tanks are well overstocked. Cut down on the number of fish you have, and research the needs of each fish species before you make changes. Unless you know the space requirements and compatibilities of each fish you own, it doen't matter how many times you post questions about your ever-changing (but always overstocked) aquarium set-ups.
