Red Tail Black Shark

Tizer, thats not my little devil in with the Skelleton is it? Just curious as i'd be considered local to you and we have got one that i can catch in the sumps :p

He has two 700L tanks to swim between and he regularly beats the living daylights out of a 1ft long pangasius, 2 x 1ft long cigar sharks, 1.5ft long plecs, large synos and a big Nandopsis Istlanum cichlid (who btw is psychotic!).

He is a RTBS with balls that one... but he is huge which is what made me wonder, he isnt the biggest i've seen, had a morbidly obese one about a year ago that made this one look small, though i dare say this one is between 6-7 inches...

EDIT: RTBL are generally ok, maybe a bit narky as babies, its when they are mature and i assume sexually mature that they get far more territorial, personally, id never keep one in a tank with floor space less than 5x2x2 and as that is so unlikely to find... we just dont stock RTBSs... problem solved on my consious..

Good for you. If only more shops were more honest about the reality of housing fish that get far too big for a standard 60-90l aquarium (which is what average Joe Public has).
