i get this red film/algae on my glass, only on my glass-when i clean it, it comes back quickly. but it isnt easy to see at first-only certain angles with good light.
any ideads what it is? it is only on my glass
it is easy to clean.

That would be the deadly red algae disease it slowly engulfs your fish :look:

just scrub it off, its likely to be a bacterial film that just builds up over a day or two.

Red algae sounds like cyano. It's usually caused from lack of flow/oxygen.

Aim a powerhead at the glass and see if that helps.
Or it could be coraline spores.

There you go. A serious answer!

It'll be Cyanobacteria, it can be difficult to control in marine set ups, as mentioned before improving the circulation in that area should get rid of it.

ive seen pics of these, doesnt look like it, you can barley see it.
Aim a powerhead at the glass and see if that helps. even in the parts with lots of flow its there, i think its what sorgan suggested
Or it could be coraline spores. i think ive got one at the very bottom, but it isnt coraline

Looks like cyano just increase the flow to starve it.

it cant be as it is on every single part of the glass, even high flow areas.

but i got a feeling it is what sorgan thinks

ive gone past diatoms, it very hard to see, gotta look at a certain angle

I had the same issue with plenty of flow, I got rid of it by adding a 3rd powerhead and aimed it at the water surface to increase the gas exchange, cleared up in about 4 days.
