Record 70 Mid-teck Planted Tank...

The only suggestion I would have is to move the diffusor to the bottom of the tank rather than the top, which would let the bubbles diffuse in the water more on their way up.

Otherwise nice tank. Coming along nicely.

Great looking tank, Corin! I especially like the Mayaca - the furry texture contrasts well with the larger-leafed plants.

You mentioned a little bit of brown string-like algae -- where is it growing? On the plants?

Beautiful Corin :)

Really Lovely start!

Got a question...

The bubbles from your diffuser?

Do they get circulated around the tank ...

Coz i have my diffuser in a similar postion to yours and filter also

and they dont seem to move with the current!

Good Luck

ng loosely to the Crypts (slow growers) and the bogwood; along with the moss...

It`s looking pretty good Corin. Try not to let the E. tenellus become too dense or you will find algae threads appearing on that too. I don`t know if you have any Amano shrimp, but they should keep the wood spotless as their preferred choice of algae, but will also have a go at threads on plants. They do in my experience, anyway.

I always experiment with diffuser placement so that I can get maximum dispersion of CO2. I have always found having the diffuser under a vertical spraybar to be the best.

With my spray bar going from left to the centre it drives the current forward and then to the sides before down etc.

My diffusor is at the bottom left of the back and the current pushes the bubbles inward to the centre and then the spraybar drives them forward etc.

Hi Corin the plants are filling out lovely now. the foreground looks good what fish do you have in there? regards john

At the moment, all I have is three Otos'... I am hoping to put either a shoal or Rummy-noses (or similar species) and/or a rare/uncommonly seen dwarf cichlid pair...
