Recharging Seachem Purigen

a little 100g bag will do a tank upto 400l, so it'll be fine. IMO this is one of the best filter medias on the market. You'll have gin clear water in a few hours.

sweet, does it need its own filter tray, or can i just dump it in with some bioballs or sponge?

also, i cant work out how it actually removes physical bits of stuff in the water. i can understand it chemically/biologically doing things, but how does it deal with visible particles ?

it comes in it's own bag, it can also come in jar, but the bagged version would be good for you. It works by almost dragging small particles into it. It does this by adsorption rather than absorption. It works along the same lines as carbon, but it's way much more than carbon. It lasts longer than carbon. It draws organic compounds towards it, and leaves inorganic compound, this is why it's good for planted tanks that dose N03 and P04, so it leaves in-organic N and P alone.
