Anywhere (quite unpredictable) from 3 weeks to a full 3 months (rare) with a month being average I'd say. Vastly superior to fish-in cycling from the fishes point of view, not to mention the water changing bit. Very good idea there to keep it in a smaller bucket for the manual water changes while you fishless cycling the tank.
