Not sure what to call this

easiest to figure what you need by the plants you are thinking about using...

if you are duplicating as best the picture... are you using a piece of driftwood for the trunk of the bonsai??? if so, what plants for the greenery???

what are you thinking for the green carpeting on the bottom of the tank???

So for the green carpet I saw a video of somebody planting “HC seeds” now I’m not 100% sure what that is, so I was hoping you would know ?? The image is of the seeds after a week

sorry, I'm not sure what you are after, and I'm not really an aquatic plant guy... were you thinking of keeping the tank full of water, or is this more like a terrarium ???
I would invite some of the more knowledgeable plant guys... like @connorlindeman ... and a few others here, that could offer more experienced advice

if you edited the title of the thread, to include the word plants, it may help getting a couple of the right guys in this thread... original title being a little vague...

Aquarium seeds are a scam. Don't waste your money. Many new aquarists use them when dry starting a tank, only for all the "grass" to melt away once the tank is flooded. If you want a "grass" effect, you can try something like Dwarf Hair Grass. It can be difficult to grow without relatively high lighting. High lighting is stressful for fish.
You can also try Pygmy chain swords. A bit thicker, but is easier to keep with moderate lighting.

Would you recommend Monte Carlo ?

Yes. You can try that. It can get taller then you might like though. You might want something like Dwarf Baby Tears.
Yeh I like the look of the baby tears, would you have a light recommendation ? As I don’t even know where to begin looking, tank will be maximum 20 gallon, also, with the dwarf baby tears, if I were to trim them, is there like a sensitive part of that makes sense ? (Like can I just cut anywhere )

You can prune Dwarf Baby tears just about anywhere. Pick a height and cut everything above that. Replant the trimmings to grow new plants.
20G high or long? This will impact your stocking options.
I like the Chihiros lights. I have a B series on my 20H. Its currently $20 off.

I’m not really sure what size, but probably a long, does it make much of a difference ? Also I am from UK so not sure if I can find that light, is it on Amazon ?

Another question sorry, what are the things I need to test for ?

Mine shipped from China. I think they ship to UK.
They sell different plug adaptors so they must ship worldwide.

What tests are you referring to?
Cycling a tank? I thought you had kept fish before.
Or are you referring to testing for the plants?

Ah yes they do thank you, that one looks good, so would the B20 be good enough to grow some dwarf baby tears ?
