so my platy finally had another load of fry. this time however, they appear to be premature born. about 6 of them were born dead, and the rest (about 30) are really really tiny.
none of them have the ability to hover in water. it appears their swim bladder isnt developed yet? they all sink to the bottom. every once in a while one or 2 will shoot to the surface only to sink again.

most are laying on their sides, some are upside down and some are on their big egg sack belly things kind of balancing. so is there anything to do for them?

They may be ok But the difficulty will be in feeding them if they cant get to the surface. So you will probably need some liquifry food for them. The ones with the sacs may be fine once they consume the sac. There will definitely be some deaths as premature fry have even less chance for survival than healthy stronger fry. Good Luck to the fry and keep us posted. :)

you might also try feeding them hard boiled eggs smashed in water. That sinks to the bottom so they don't have to swim to the top to eat.

:/ dunt sound gd mate, aslong as there in tank on there own they should be fine i'm sure, give them some food that sinks like that dude sed, aslong as they eat and no preditors youve got good chance many will survive!!! gd luck and keep posted
