Which brand of fake plants are the most realistic?

I don't know - but several folks here have been using silk plants. They check for color fastness buy soaking them but they look really pretty in their tanks.

Yep I have them, they come with a little stone on them.

So, DIY folks have just been going to large crafts stores and getting bulk fake silk plants there. I haven't tried it, but it sure makes sense to me

I think they are about 15% more expensive, but I haven't looked at too many plastic ones. I just bought some from Natures Best Fish, they have them on sale now:
