Reading NTLabs test kit results

Just thought I'd ask, anyone with experience of this kit. Were you reading the colours at exactly 10 minutes or would you let it sit for longer then read. Im showing low nitrate and just wondering if maybe im just reading them wrong as the colour does darken after say 20-30mins

Hi, The nitrate test specifically needs to be shaken in the while bottles for 30 seconds before use. If it's not shaken enough it will give false low readings. Hope this helps.

Yeah sure got that in the instructions like. What about the time when you read it, I know the instructions say 10 mins but I've noticed it gets darker if left longer

Read at the time the instructions say. Most tests will change colour over time and the accurate reading is the one done at the time specified in the instructions.
