sorry to but in !!

the reason most people suggest seeing them eat before you buy is because they are caught by hooks and it damages the lips /mouth thus them being unable to eat .

there is a place in leicester who have a variety of rays available cannot think of name will post once i remember .

I think its more to do with the fact they are used to live food and dont reconise dead/frozen foods as food.
Put earthworms in and they will eat all day long lol
