hiyah, im thinkin about getting a small ray just wondering what type of fish they could be keept with would be greatfull if you could get back to me :)

thanks josh,

unless its 4x2x2 you cant keep a small ray. i would rather the tank was 4x3x2 or 4x4x2. the tank needs a large footprint.

Most will argue, myself included that even a 4x2x2 is too small,
I'd say minimum suggested tank size is 5x3x2

Agree with davo but i would still say to small but thats just my opinion lol..... 5x3x2 as davo says would be IMO the smallest you would want to go if you was to have one :)

depends if the ray is a juvie. most people buy one as a juvie and start with it is a 4x2x2

thats OK as long as you are definitely planning a 6-8' upgrade that year.

even for the smaller rays you need 6x30x24,

you maybe ok with a scobina for some time in a 4x2x2

the bigger the tank the better but scobina and som reticulata stay fairly small

scobina max out at about 12 inch disk but are very hard to find im thinking of starting a scobina breeding project as not many people sell them but i wont have any pups for 2 years

scobina or reticulatus not much else will fit in a 24 inch wide tank

the prices for motoro are a joke they cant expect to sell at that money

that said the price of the reticulatus is good £40 but get the larger ones for £45

you should be ok with a pair in a 5x2x2 for about 2 years

the only problem is retics are not the strongest of rays make sure you go to the shop and see them feeding before you buy
