Rays And Discus

Hi everyone.

I'm looking at getting a large tank 7ft wide, 3ft deep and 2ft6in tall. I would like to use this tank to home a couple of smaller breed Rays.

I wandered if my discus would be able to live with the Rays or if it would cause problems.

It's risky. I have heard a few stories of Discus pecking at the rays and putting holes in them, and then I have heard stories of rays pouncing at Discus!

Discus vs ray is not a real issue, ray vs discus can be

retic/hystrix/scobi will probably be "safe" motoro...... well you can expect scrapes & the occasional loss as a midnight snack

bear in mind rays are top preds so really if they can catch it, it is on the menu, usually at night

Like I said, I have heard the odd story of Discus actually pecking on the top of stingrays and putting large holes in them. That said, I have only heard of this happening twice, as someone brought it up on another forum and I believe someone else chimed in saying they had the same problem, doesn't really seem that common though.
