I've had some down time at work so I've been getting back into MyVegas online casino games on my phone. Slots and blackjack. I'm not a gamer, or even a gambler, honestly. However, it passes the time and you can earn legitimate rewards through MLife (MGM Resorts player's club, which my wife and I are both members). So far neither of us have spent a single penny on the games and we've accumulated enough loyalty points to go on at least 3 separate week long cruises (whenever they start back up) or a couple weeks worth of comped rooms in Vegas/other locations and/or other comps such as shows, food, casino plays, etc. We're going to keep saving up until this COVID-19 nonsense dies down and then we're going to cash in and make out like bandits. Anyone else play the MyVegas apps?

New Zealanders have a thing for Merinos ;) ;)
Have you ever seen merino sheep, they are huge. It is really cool in central Otago when the farmers bring them down off the stations for winter, you get flocks of a couple of thousand walking down the country roads. It is so cool

How is it that you havent spent a penny yet have earned so much in loyalty award points? Do you make cash bets on that casino site?

You must have played for many many hours to earn so much awards.

A LOT! However, I usually set it to auto-spin on the slots while I'm multi tasking and just let it do it's thing. It adds up quick.

I live in Australia and there was a farm at my high school. One of the courses we did was farming skills where we learnt all about animal husbandry. We learnt to drive tractors, remove horns from cattle (sometimes that was messy), shear sheep, kill chooks, milk cows and goats, and pretty much anything else associated with farming. I also had friends who had a wheat n sheep property out in Kellerberrin and they ran 10,000 merinos. The lambs are absolutely gorgeous but some of the rams were pig headed stubborn mongrels and we had to send the dogs in to deal with them. And for anyone wondering if sheep dogs actually walk across the sheep's backs, yes they do.

One of the more memorable moments from back then was when one of the girls in the class leant against the electric fence and got zapped on the butt. Even the teacher laughed at that. She was hopping around grabbing her backside going owie owie ouch. :)

Speaking of that...

The clan I’m permanent officer on is in 8th place in the world:

That is a great achievement for me, never got in the top 10 before... :yahoo:

I just ate breakfast and I may have added a little too much of my homemade fermented Naga morich hybrid hot sauce to my omelette. Things are getting serious in my stomach. It sounds like a cement mixer. It's going to be a long night at work, I think. At least I'll be all alone.

I love hot sauce, will you share your recipe or is it a family secret. I have hot sauce on my poached eggs in the morning everyone thinks I'm mad.

This was a very basic hot sauce. I took fresh pods, diced them up and put into a carboy. Poured a saltwater brine over them and put them in the closet for couple months to ferment. Then I strained the peppers, added a little brine and apple cider vinegar and hit liquify on the blender. It's not fancy, but it showcases the flavor of the peppers and it's stupid hot.

You could add in whatever you'd like before or after the ferment. When they are in season, I like gathering up a bunch of wild garlic that grows everywhere around here and throwing those in along with onions, ginger and other goodies and ferment them along with the peppers. If you're into sweeter sauces, blackberries, pineapple and blueberries go great in the mix.

If you're after something a bit more complex or with specific uses in mind, I do have many recipes that I've developed over the years that I'd be more than happy to share. Any particular preferences?

We have Culley's in NZ. This stuff is seriously hot. 2 drops to spice up a dish. It comes in a wooden box. Really cool.

That's cool, I love hot sauce with everything, I think I will have a play and see if I can't get my stomach to act like a cement mixer.

Anything hotter than a bhut jolokia should work well for that. Or just go all out and get yourself a bunch of Carolina Reapers and ferment them. I have a bunch of Reapers that I need to start here soon. Ed Currie really hit one out of the park with those. Excellent flavor and has held the title for hottest (stable) pepper strain for many years. He's actually got other, albeit unstable, strains that are significantly hotter. I can't wait for those to be released.

It was a false alarm today. All those probiotics in the sauce and the kombucha I drank this morning mellowed everything out.
