If you live in an area with other poultry (ducks, chickens, geese, turkeys, swans) or lots of wild birds, then you should vaccinate ducklings to stop them catching diseases from other birds in the area. There are a number of diseases that can spread from chicken farms to other birds and these can wipe out entire flocks.

If you don't live near any poultry farms and don't have lots of wild birds on your property, and your birds are currently free of diseases, then you don't normally need to vaccinate them.
