I feel sad and happy for you.
Happy because it's kinda a weight lifted off you (quite literally) and sad because you won't really have any fish or tanks.
Sad to see them go probably.

I’m keeping my 55 gallon, my boyfriend will help me with water changes, but that’s it sad because I was just offered a free elephantnose

Yay! So your not completely out of the hobby!
That's very very nice of your boyfriend to step in like that to help. Sounds like you got a keeper
Elephant nose fish are really interesting! No other fish like it I can think of...
Maybe in later years you will be able to keep one.
Always a bummer though when a good deal goes away.
