Ramshorn Snails...

I thought they only ate 'algae' and 'waste matter'... just been told they'll massacre the plants themselves as well... is this true?...

They do eat plant matter, so they will more than likely eat your plants (depending on which plants you have). they also like soft veg. so if you put that in, they might leave your plants alone, but they might just decide your plants are the tastiier option.

I have no plants or algae in my tank. I regually feed my ramshorn zucchini, peas, spinach and lima beans in addition to whatever fish food falls to the bottom.
