Ramshorn Snail Care

Once I somehow got a snail in my ten-gallon tank. I hadn't put any plants or anything in the tank, but there was a very small snail of some sort. A bit later (few weeks, a month, I don't really remember) I had LOTS of snails! I guess there could have been more then one to begin with, but I kinda doubt it.
