What type of rams can go in with community fish?

I like the look of butterfly rams and german blue rams.
Are there any fish they can not be kept with?

Thanks.

I have 3 german blue rams in my community tank. One is a pair and the other is...solo...

They are in a tank with plecs, clown loaches, 2 tiger barbs, gouramis and my three cichlids (which are moving soon).

I havent had any issues with the rams at all. They tend to keep to themselves and like the lil hiding spots they find. I think the only reason they havent been nudged one to many times by my cichlids is because my cichlids have entertainment with ripping up the decor.

I wouldnt put them with aggressive fish. They should be ok (in my opinion) with your usual household tropicals like platies and guppies etc.

More experienced fish lovers may be able to shed some better light on their behavioural style though :)

Yeh pritty laid back, as said, wouldnt put them with anything too dominant, mines a complete wimp and gets 'owned' by a fricken dwarf gourami :p

I keep a pair of Bolivian rams( which I asssume are pretty similar to blues) In that tank, they completely ignore every other fish, and every other fish ignores them. The only time They interact really is when one of my angels bumps into them.

i have a hareem of 2 males and 6 females and they get along great with everything.
So funny to watch the males when they spot each other and display

I also keep 2 Bolivian Rams, they are currently in a 75L with my 2 month old sajicas and they all seem to get along well. They were originally for my 200L but the pair of Kribs I have are spawning and were being very territorial!

They do seem a very peaceful fish and give them some vegetation and a few rocks and they're happy as Larry

I have 4 german blue rams in one of my community tanks (4ft) and they get on fine. Sure, the males and females fight with each other but that's
only because they're breeding machines just now.

They'll generally leave anything else in the tank and all the other fish leave them, too. One thing though, one of my pairs have successfully spawned
AND the eggs have hatched and they are now patrolling their little 'nest' like Mr T on acid. Anyone (or anything!) comes too close they'll get a swift telling
off and the male in particular will take on any fish that comes too close - even the large angels who are 5-8 times his size!
