Iv,e got a small pond which is at ground level and the idea now is that we want to have a pond that is raised so as maybe we can sit on the edge of it grow rockery plants around the sides of it you get the idea.
So I'm looking for ideas for what materials to use to lift it out of the ground, which liner, flexible or rigid, wether to use brick or wood I toyed with the idea of bolting railway sleepers together but I dont think her indoors was to keen on that one, so if anyone here has any ideas or maybe some pictures of their own they would like to share please feel free to put them up and any ideas will be gladly taken on board.

I built a small raised pond for my patio using tannalised timber & a flexible liner.
For a bigger pond, I'd suggest using breeze blocks, you could face it with featherboard timber to give a better look.
I'd still go with a flexible liner, as they are, well, flexible.
We had a big pond at our old house with a rigid preformed liner.
After a couple of years it started to warp & crack

Build it out of watever you want. Brick.blok rocks watever you can get. Render the inside and then fibreglass it. Sleepers would work you can fibreglass wood too you can form watever shape yoou want. how high above and how deep.
