Rainbow with Emperor Tetras

Colin answered the question and I fully agree with him. His knowledge of the Atherinids (the fish Order Atheriniformes contains the rainbowfishes among other families) is beyond mine with this group.

you could go with larged colorful tetras then. Congo tetras would be nice. Although they come form different parts of the world they live in similar water.

I am in love with congo tetras, but they are hard to come by.
