Is it acceptable to have a school of different species of rainbows, like two of each of a few species?? Or do they prefer their own species for schooling??

You'll need at the very least six-eight of each species if you want to reduce any stress or nipping from the fish. You have to keep in mind that several species will need more than ten to be comfortable.

Rainbow sharks?? No. You must only have one!! There are some instances that they do well together but more than likely they will fight till the death. ONLY HAVE ONE. Including bala sharks, rainbow sharks, red tip sharks, etc.

Rainbow fish they mean, not rainbow sharks :)

They really do like their own kind to school with......

Thanks for the input!! And yes, I meant rainbow fish, not sharks.
