Just a little questionaire for the bored people out there, and something fun for a change. Just copy the bold questions...

My tank size is:29 Gal

My fish are:4 Angels, 6 neons, 4 Rams, 1 dwarf gourami, 2 bristelnose plecs and 1 male betta.

My next fish is:Another ram. Maybe 2 cockatoo's.

My saddest loss is:A tiger barb when they moved from my first tank to my 2nd, i didnt let it cycle long enough.

My favourite fish is:German rams hand down.

Advice for a beginner:Make sure you cycle your tank long enough, patience really is a vurtue in this game.

My next fish: got some nice looking livebearer fry im raising now that may go in my main tanks, in particular some white/pale colored platy fry and black tuxedo guppy fry)

My saddest loss: my red VT betta which lost about over 6months ago now- still miss him loads.

Advice for beginner: do your own research- research every aspect of every fish you add to your tank and its needs/living enviroment etc and don't expect lfs to tell you all there is to know about fish keeping etc- can't even begin to tell you how important doing your own research is :nod:

Advice for a beginner: study fish prior to purchase and have fun

My fish are: 11 neons, 1 Bristlenose, 2 Bolivian Rams, 4 Niger Otos, 1 Guppy

My saddest loss is: when my favourite leopard danio dissapeared never to be seen again.

My favourite fish is: Bolivian Ram because they are the most intelligent fish i own :)

Advice for a beginner: Never trust your LFS when asking about fish. Always research fish on the Net and in books before buying the fish your interested in.
 
My tank size is: 60 ltrs (c. 13 gallons) and 70 ltrs (c. 19 gallons)

My fish are: 3 guppies, 3 platies. 5 peppered corys

My next fish is: a pair of dwarf gouramis

My saddest loss is: black mollies during last attempt at fishkepping (30 yrs ago)

My favourite fish is: my 2 female guppies, Sarah and Silverdot

Advice for a beginner: never, ever impulse buy!

My saddest loss is: Actually not my loss but my fish. Gave a spawning pair of marble angels to a friend, beautiful fish, excellent cichlid behavior. He thought the tank was completely cycled. They lasted a week.

My favourite fish is: Toss up between angels & plecs

Advice for a beginner: Crawl before you walk, walk before you run. Know the rules well before you bend or break them.

Advice for a beginner:have fun, find somthing about it you really enjoy and stick with it :thumbs:

My fish are: 2 angels, 6 boesmani rainbows, 4 dwarf neon rainbows, 1 3 spot gourami and 2 oto's(had 6, 4 died)

My next fish is: more oto's and some snail eating loaches, probably botia striata as I don't have the room for a clown loach

My saddest loss is: one of my marble angels died recently

My favourite fish is: In this tank, my big angel, Brutus

Advice for a beginner: NEVER listen to the lfs, always do your own research

My fish are: 5 flame nosed tetras, one with no eyes, 7 female bettas

My saddest loss is: lost 3 females to columnaris

Hubby has a tank too, but I don't feel like listing the fish he has in there

40 gl 12 firehead tetras, 2 blushing angesl, 6 panada cories, 2 cardinals

My next fish is: 18 more cardinals, 2 more blusing angels

My saddest loss is: 18 cardainls in 24 hrs, cause of dateh remains unknown

Advice for a beginner: listern and get as eocnd opinon! i am also still a begginer, get the biggest tnak you can but be aware you'll want another a week later

My saddest loss is: I haven't become attached to any yet, so the ones that died just made me mad.

Advice for a beginner: cycle first, then stock; always research the fish you're interested in, using more than one source

My saddest loss is: 4 glowlight tetras in the past 3 days from gill flukes

Advice for a beginner: Don't listen to most shops, do you research, listen to your more experienced friends, complain to shops and make sure what you buy is compatable.

Advice for a beginner: dont be too quick to stock up on fish.
 
My tank size is: My 9 tanks range from 200 to 20 gallons

My fish are: Too many to list but mainly uncommon predatory fish

My next fish is: I have no plans for any new fish at the moment but if any unusual large catfish or oddballs turn up i'll probably end up buying them.

My saddest loss is: Losing nearly all my fish when the filter broke while i was away on holiday, this included 4 bala sharks over a foot long each and several uncommon catfish

My favourite fish is: My dwarf electric catfish

Advice for a beginner: Never trust the word of lfs employees when buying new fish, research the species thoroughly yourself or you could end up buying something that will outgrow your tank or eat all your fish.
