Heres a newb question: what is an IFS, LFS? I'm not sure which is the right initials or maybe both exist. What do they mean?

LPS - Local Pet store

It is pinned in the "Newbie" forum, the place where new people introduce themselves, not the "Beginner Questions". The pinned topic is called Common Forum Abbreviations

However, I know I also missed this when I was a newbie, and took me a week to figure out, since I was too embarased to ask. I personally didn't introduce myself there. Maybe it should be posted elsewhere?
