Sadly tonight one of my oldest fish has passed. It was a Blackmoor that i have had for a number of years. I now have one lone blackmoor and would like to know if they prefer to be in groups or if they mind being single and by themselves?

Thanks guys :good:

If your tank is large enough, go ahead and get another one. I find that while they do fine on their own, they do seem to be social fish and hang out with each other when more than one is in a tank. Of course, I think that has as much to do with one fish thinking the other fish might know where some secret stash of food is hidden. :D

Excellent :) Thanks for the information i will most likley get another one as the tank is more then suitable for two of them :)

Just the one i have seems to entertain himself now at the moment since the other passed last night and seems to be doing a lot more swimming maybe he is looking for his friend who has gone who knows.
