Question About Plastic Canvas

Thanks I just got it not to long ago and have already installed it. But man it was hard as hell with me not cutting it right and to short to where it wasn't centered right so each fish had the same amount of swimming room. I wish they made it in the hard kind where it won't bend and move around instead it would stay stiff as a board so I could place it in the right place faster without it wiggling around. I HATE PLASTIC CANVAS!!!!!! I will never divide another tank as long as I live.

Thats how much I paid for mine a piece. What do you mean, does the tank not have the grooves in it? Is it the 5g that your trying to put it in or the 2.5g? With my 2.5g it stood up on its on once I put it in the grooves.

A 5G minibow. I could cut slots for it....but I I screwed up it might turn ugly...

Oh it doesn't come with built in slots? Then I'm afraid the only other way to get it to stay is to empty the tank and dry it out and silicon the canvas to inside of the glass or if you can buy some slots get them and silicon them to the tank and slid the canvas into the new slots. So sorry those are your only 2 options.

Don't be sorry, because its not, you silly person. :p
I was told a much better option than you have presented.
Got to walmart and buy 2 plastic binders(I think thats what they're called) and clamp the canvas. Use the flat side of the canvas and fasten it to the tank in the back with putty, and have the front wedged/pressured in.
That looks alot nicer an easier than you said in the above. ;)

That link doesn't work because I would have to register. Could you copy and paste it on a post?

Regular dividers work great. If you order them online, they are not very expensive. Everything you use for raising Bettas should be ordered online. Even with the shipping costs, if you save up and order everything at once, you save a good bit. Heres a pic of a divided tank. It gives each betta 2.5 gal of space, and I use a Hydro sponge filter in each corner. I prefer to do partial water changes often, but the filters help with water conditions.

I have an idea ethos. Why don't you stand the canvas up and use clear duck tape to hold it in place by placing the tape on the top of the tank. :hey:

Thats what I was doing. I just got frustraited and left it.

I went up to bed last night and my betta (in the pic) somehow slipped and got stuck on the other side :D
I'll need to fix that. Its good I discovered it now, not when another betta was in there...

Yeah your right. I was such a nervous wreck last night because I was so afraid that while I was sleeping one of the bettas would some how get over to the other side and they would fight that I actually woke up the fifth time the alarm went off ( after pressing the snooze button 5 times) :p and checked on them. I normally don't get up until I press the snooze button 8 to 10 times before I get up normally. But boy I can't wait till this week is over because this is the last week of school for us till x-mass break. :kana:
