Question About Male Guppies

will they try to mate w/ mollies? i saw a beautiful little boy yesterday at petco, but if he's going to try and mate w/ the mollies, i'm not so sure i'm ready for some odd hybrid in my tank.

I don't think they will mate, because guppies and mollies are different type of fish!

In theory Mollies and Guppies can breed but the chances of it happening are very very slim. Espcially if u have any females guppies

i wasn't planning on getting any female guppies. i have enough live bearers. the boys were just so pretty!

They will definitely try to mate with them. Male Livebearers will mate with anything. However, the chances of them actually producing fry are very slim.

well, til i get a lot more females then, i won't stress the lil ladies. maybe one day i'll have just a guppy tank. they are cute.

It shouldn't be too bad, I wouldn't think. How many females do you have?

5 presently, one died. but i have about 8 fry too... i'm sure some of them are female.
