Question about freshwater shrimp

cherry shrimp will lose color and turn semi-transparent or darker and be a brownish color if you don't kill the unwanted ones...
the "female" you posted on the last picture is an amano shrimp and won't breed in your tank.
the white line across their back is because you have a white substrate...it's like a natural defense shrimp have to blend in to their surroundings
that white line across it's back it's usually not a feature wanted by people...so if you intend on keeping shrimp I suggest volcanic soil...some plants a neutral ph and a dual-sponge filter

Came home today and found another interesting looking shrimp. About 1/2 inch long. Appears between this one and the cherry red that they're both neocardinia.
