I am thinking about cutting up pieces of pvc pipes for my corys to hide in. Do I need one pipe per cory? What diameter should the pipes be? How long should the pipes be?
Please help.
Thanks in advance.

My Corys generally hide out together, so you'd want a pipe that will be big enough for them to sit together in. Get whatever length you like. I prefer shorter lengths, 'cause then it's easier to see the fish in 'em. Usually I sort of "half bury" the pieces of pipe in the substrate, so there is substrate on the inside "floor" of the tube. My Pleco loved the little chunk of PVC pipe I had in there when I had him  You can use the elbows, too. Another thing you can do is coat the pipe in aquarium sealant and stick rocks or sand or whatever on it. Make sure you let it cure for a couple days befor eyou put it in the tank, though!

Good luck!

if i were you i'd try it, it can't hurt and you can always take it out if they don't like it

My cories hang out in those little orange clay pots. Terra cotta I think? -_- They are cheap and look pretty nice with the right gravel

my corys dont hide -_- my plec takes their hideing spot i guess, i dunno. corys alway seem to busy eating to be napping -_-

Home depot has the best prices on pvc. I bought a bunch of 8 inch t's and angled t's for about four dollars a piece. Drain pipe is also good and its always black to make it darker for them.
