Purple Cynobacteria?

I noticed a type of purple algae (its not corraline), it looks just like cyano but purple. it has a few patches- and is moved around by the powerheads- what is it? I figured i can just take the rocks out and scrub it off. I did have some probs with cyano during the first month of my tank, but that went away a few weeks later, and especially after I added chaeto and a phospate sponge. thanks for any input

There are brown, rust, purple, and green strains of cyanobacteria

agreed...cyanobacteria can be many colors. SH

good to know- it actually does not look as bad as the red cyano but thats my opinion.
