As the topic says, anyone kept these before? From the little info I've managed to get online they sound very peacefull comunity fish, similar to Pentazona barbs. I have a shoal of 12 pentazonas at the moment and I love them, but these Rhomb's look quite interesting.

I'll be setting up a 4ft tank soon, and I'm thinking about stocking for it. I want to aquascape it in a certain way, so need to know if they'll be happy (I know my pentazonas like plant cover, but I want to set this tank up without too much).

Yep just treat the same as your pentazona barbs and they should do fine,

A few plants or hiding places on each side should be enough, when they mature they seem to like their swimming space

The "species" credentials of B. rhombocellatus are somewhat open. I had always known it as one of the "4 - 5" sub species of B. pentazona, (B.p. pentazona, B. p. hexazona, B. p. partipentazona and B. p. rhomoceallatus, possibly B. p. foerschi as well). I have seen other classifications.

In all cases, they grow to the same size, have the same requirements and demeanour.
