I recently bought a 90gal with sump and all that fuzz. Im looking for a nice in sump skimmer. Yesterday at a Pet store in a Neighboring town I seen a Berlin Skimmer like this below

Berlin Skimmer

I was wondering if this would be a good choice or not? They were selling it for $169.99 Canadian

Looks Good. The only thing is it will be hard for me to get that one cause of where I live. My pet store is less then appealing and im sure it would be a pain trying to get them to bring one in for me if they even could. Ive been reading up on the Berlin and it looks fairly good. Does any one have any experiences with them?

Yeah the Deltec's are astronomically expensive over here in the states. That skimmer you originally posted Riley is actually pretty good. Other popular brands on this side of the "pond" include AquaC and ASM. If I were you I'd look into those too (dunno what exactly's available in canada). And make sure you check Ebay for pricing too.

Skimmers to avoid around here are Jebo, Berlin Prizm series, and SeaClone

Okay sounds good. Yah I was looking at the prices on the deltec and the one I seen was $719.00..... :/ sorry but I definatley cannot afford that..I bought my entire 90gal, stand, sump, all the plumming, return pump and glass top for less than that. I will check out thoses other skimmers, but right now that Berlin is looking good.

$719.00!!!!!!! OMG that TTP over here ita about 250 with a 1.8 exchange rate thats $450 ish bet the shipping would only be around $70 mission to get it but could be done. still looking at $520 but its a well good skimmer.

PS no I dont work for Deltec

Riley, thats pretty much standard cost for Deltecs in the western hemisphere. I cant justify buying one when ASM and AquaC make skimmers easily as good for less than half the cost :)
