I note that PFK are giving away a free 15 litre tank with a years subscription. Perhaps an interesting gift but what could one sensibly keep in a fifteen litre tank?

I'm just reading it and tempted to get the annual subscription. It says that if you feel brave you could even have a pico marine with some sexy shrimp and crabs.

I have a shrimp tank in my 20l but might set this one up for a betta...

Its the Superfish 'Wave' 15 litre tank. Its actually a very cute little tank, pretty high turnover for the size as the little filter that comes with it is aimed at tanks from 20-50L though with the spraybar, it doesnt turn the tank into a washing machine.

I have several people with them set up and unlike other small tanks, they just havent had the same 'slow cycle' and it doesnt seem to have as many problems... though they have also used Evolution Aqua 'pure' balls in the little panel where the filter/heater fits so thats probably why.

Know several people with them set up as a very basic fighter tank, someone else has a group of 6 sparkling gouramis, another has 5 endlers. Several others are keeping cherry shrimp and if they do well, plan to move their cherry shrimp into other tanks and keep rarer shrimps.

The lighting is probably the coolest bit that you dont see on other tanks.. touch sensitive pad for LED lighting, the white lights have i think 4 settings (to control brightness and on/off) and the blue have 3 settings plus on/off. So you can have just white, just blue or mixed lighting and bright through to dull lighting. Thats pretty cool..

They have new tank out with same lighting but is 23L (or was it 25L?) called the Supafish 'Home' and i like that even better :)

This sold it to me. Will call tomorrow. I know I could do it online, but want to make sure they still have tanks left as I don't want a random present in case they have run out.

I considered this when I saw it, got a post about 15litre tanks somewhere on here and the consensus at that time was shrimp only pretty much so I didn't go for it in the end. Nice little tank though

I set a white one up with pale beach coloured sand and two bamboo Sydeco ornaments and it looked awesome! Overcrowding it will just cause problems and i found that small planted tanks were just irritatingly high maintenance.

Bamboo plant

Two of those fit *exactly* side by side in the tank creating a beautiful wall at the back :)

Personally, I would probably want the black one... or failing that... white one. Struggle to see a red one fitting into my house or life. Harder to set up with decor IMO

i'd rather buy a propper 35 nano tank with more space for £50 and then then read the PFK website ;p
