Powered Vacuum Recommendations

WOW 90G! That does need something bigger then a little handheld vacuum! !

I seriously looked into getting the battery powered but my dad (sort of the second opinoin in all of my fish descisions :p ) said that the battery could run out easy. Which I never really thought of..but since it doesnt have a charger and ran down easy I would constantly have to change batteries. With the pump, I'm pretty sure it wont stop working for a while :D . But since you have one how does the battery work for you? Does it run out easy?

^_^

I've tried doing that before, forgot about the water coming down at a rate of knots and ingested a bout a quarter of a pint of dirty tank water.

Question : My siphon isnt strong enough to pick up some of the debris in my 90g. Do I just need to suck harder to start it up?
No sucking harder to start the syphon will not increase the flowrate (other than for the amount that you end up getting your your mouth initially  ).

You can try to get a bigger gravel vac, that will increase the flowrate of what is being syphoned out and should in theory pickup more of the debris.

I bought a very small gravel vac for my JBJ nanocube since the tank was small, and I figured it woudl be easier to maneuver it around in the tank, but found it wasn't big enough to really pickup the larger debris, so I had to go and buy a much larger one to do the job right.
