Hi,

What do you do when the power goes off? I've never had it up to now but just wanted to be prepared just in case. I have a 40 gal and a 10 gal tank.

l would imagine it depends on how long the power cut is for. if its fairly short (< 1 hour) then I shouldn't worry about it. if it's longer then you could look at generators or ups systems.

I am planning on using one of these UPS's to run my Eheim 2080. With just that plagged into the UPS plug, it should run my Eheim for just over 3 hours.

Also, if you just plug an air pump into the UPS part and not a canister, it will run that for about 24 hours.

For the sake of £60, it buys you some time.
