Hi Angel

Will Discus be happy in a three foot tank with - live bearers (guppies, platys, 1 molly and a plec)
or would they chase them?

do you need a pair of discus or would a few be best??

thanks!!!

sorry for the questions but saw the pictures of yours -they are stunning!

thanks again

Laura

If I am to understand correctly, discus are among the most peaceful of all cichlids, and they can be kept with small neons and other really small fish. It's overly aggressive fish that shouldn't be kept with them.

I think that a 3 foot tank would be big enough for a pair, not certain though.

Thats cool, i was told to get two keyhole cichlids; but i really love the look of some discus at my college - do i need to get a male and female pair?? - how do u tell the difference??

and do they need to be the same colour morphs??

thanks!!

my little discus which was cheap as chips for a discus i think at £14, anyone knopw what type he is i have one in mind but wouldnt mind knowing 100%.

he looks like a moonstone blue, do you have any friends with him as discus need to be kept in groups of 5+ they also can max out at a wopping 10" disc so i hope you have a nice big tank for the little baby.
