Well, just as I was getting into it, someone has decided that they dont like the idea of me having a pond.

Yesterday, I came back from work and the fountain was knocked over and a load of pond plant was pulled out on the side. I though a cat/fox had fallen in and dragged the plant out with it. So I put the fountain back in place and put the plants back in the pond.

Then I came back from work today and someone has completely ransacked the pond. Torn out all the plants, knocked the fountain under water and went into my shed and took the food and emptied all of it into the pond. :-(

Now I have no way of keeping the water oxygenated and even if i tried, i'm sure they would be back to trash it again. :dunno:

So I need to give away all the fish before they die of manky water.

If you want any and are in the Surrey/London area, then give me a shout. There are about 10 goldfish of between 6 and 15 inches. Are a couple of Sterlet in there too. Otherwise I dont know what I can do with them.

It makes me feel sick. I want to move house now.

Stupid Idiots. I am very sorry to hear that mate you were just starting to get into it.

That's a really sad thing. I hate people that have nothing better to do the vandalize other peoples things. Why don't they just go and vandalize their own place? I hope you find those people and them beat them with a stick and pull their hair out, then throw them on the floor :hey: Sorry it just makes me mad. Hope you find homes for your fishes.

I am so sorry :-( some people should be put to sleep at birth, how could they be so cruel and horrible, I guess you have no idea who is to blame, I don't blame you for wanting to move, I would too if it had happend to me, very sad after you were getting the feel for it too.

Thanks for your sympathies.

I put an advert to give the fish away on www.aquarist-classifieds.co.uk and a guy rang up 30mins later! He's coming on Sat to take them all. He's bringing a pump, to empty the pond so that hopefully nothing will be left in there to die. :/

I guess I will speak to you all in a few years when I move out of the city and into a nice friendly village and start up a pond again.

Thats good to hear, don't give up on fish though. :)

Glad to hear this hasn't put you off Ewan, goodluck with your future pond :)

Why the hell would someone do something like this. Did you neighbours not see anything??

Good luck for the future Ewan, ever thought about an aquarium?

i would be waiting in the shed with a baseball bat

all the best for the future

I'm not sure that I wouldn't set up a camera to catch the bugger! My place is my place, I'd be devastated if someone came to damage it.

If you want rid of the fish, and this guy does not turn up/want them. I can probably take them and collect them from you!

Sorry to hear about these idiots

(I have a large pond with goldfish in it, and my Grandfather wants more colour in his Large Koi pond)

drop me a mail if anything develops

Give away the fish (I would have eaten them but thats just me) then fill it back up and buy a camera and some small goldfish so that jerk can see that there are fish them set up the camera to record while you are at work once he does anything take the tape to the police and sue his ass off. Dont just let it slide its not fair to you or whoever else this prick is terrorizeing (IME people who terorize animals are bad people elsewhere) also set up private property or no trespassing signs so you can get him legaly there to.

People like that are the reason you need guns in the UK IMHO

Good luck

Hi all. The guy came to take the fish and the pond is now empty of everything (including water), but excpet for loads of frogs/toads. They keep jumping back into the empty pond. I'm going to have to take them to a river nearby.

Anyway, its good to know that the fish are going to wicked sounding home.

Unfortuantly Frogs/Toads have a great homing instinct and will 98% find their way back to where they were born to breed again. Ever spring I normally have about 30 new frogs appear from no where. Why not try and indoor tank?

yeh we have frogs turning up here every year but we've no pond :(
