Hey

When we bought our tank, the guys at the shop said make sure you out polystyrene sheets on top of the stand before you put the tank on. But in the leaflet it says you shouldn't, because this voids the warranty. Who should I believe? Not that it really matters now because we put the polystyrene on anyway.

I would ask it from the manufacturer why they say that "don't use". I use foamed plastic sheets under my tanks.

I think that Juwel has said (at least) that you may not use any sheets under the tank, but.. I haven't ask from them "why?".

If you ask, I would like to know what they said for the reason.

If you have a tank with glass at the bottom without it being raised by the frame of the tank like Juwel tanks you will need some polystyrene, This to give the tank a level base, If a tiny pepple were to get trapped under the tank during set up it would put alot of stress on the base when filled with water.

All Juwel tanks are raised so dont need any polystyrene.

Oh right, thanks. Our tank isn't like that :)
