Pogostemon Pastures

Have u not got any lead plant weights nocking around. Just one would prob do the trick

No I don't keep them, I hate lead weights, I'm moving it out and having the needle fern in place of the moss soon anyway.

Staurogyne!!!

Ok cool. You removing the wood completely then I assume.

microsorium pteropus!

Nope it's on slate so the needle fern will go on that :)

Right, after receiving some plants from some generous TFF members I had to rescape, moved the Crypts around as they are growing quite fast and thick, added Ludwigia (cheers Ian) to the rear left which I'm hoping will grow up and hide the filter a little. Removed the Moss (swapped for RCS with Cazzie, cheers Caz) and replaced with Needle Leaf Fern. Added another petite Anubias to a pebble in front of the slate and moved the Anubias Nana to a pebble in front of the slate. All Helferi has been moved over as the algae on it has disappeared after using Excel instead of yeas CO2 and removed the Riccia.

Also removed all adult fish and added RCS, it now has about 15 assorted platy and molly fry until they get about an inch long, then they will go in the community tank.

Hope you like it, I love it now its set up this way, I can't wait for it to grow in and get bushy.

CABOMBA CAROLINIANA

Hey, the Pogostemon is doing really well. Sometimes that plant is twitchy. I like the rescape. Dense, lots of plantmass. Very good! :good:

Spam: Nymphaea...

I like also, your looking at a dutch type scape there Steve, are you adding any more stems?

I'm only gonna spread the luwigia as is grows and gets trimmed I think.

Looking good buddy im liking the new scape and how its low at the front and runs higher towards the back and sides of the tank.
Glad to hear the flourish excel is working for you as iv just started using it, i think its price and the alge killing thing is what makes it better than co2 for a small tank like ours :good:

Thanks dude, yeah its great for getting a good balance in small tanks.

Thanks for the kind comments guys. :good:

Little update, got some Ludwigia from Ian and some taller Crypts, you can just see them coming through now, hopefully they'll grow nice and tall on the left to cover the filter. Noticed a huge difference in the Helferi now its come through a nice lush green, before it was very lime green, this is how its going to stay now till I transfer it over to an ARC 35.
